The United Nations building was opened in 1952 on land overlooking the East River in Manhatten, on 17 acres of land purchased and donated to the city by the famous Rockefeller family. This menu is from the Delegates Dining Room in 1957 and includes an a la cartemenu as well as the American version of table d'hote. A two course meal plus coffee could be purchased for about $2.00.
